“A sound mind and a sound body achieves sound education in a sound environment”
As Principal of M.V. Convent School & College, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school website. I thank you for taking the time to visit and hope to provide you with some useful information.
AT MV Convent School, we try to build and nurture the self-confidence of the students so that they may take the risk of attempting new challenges, help them blossom and grow as individuals. We focus on inculcating the academic, social and emotional skills to enable them to better realise their true potential.
I firmly believe that my role as an educator is to guide and nurture the next generation and to imbibe skills to maintain good health, sound mind, respect for self and others, self discipline, time management, futuristic planning and setting up goals or aims. I am passionate about my students and wish to see them succeed in all walks of life. As a Principal, I use all the tools available to inspire staff, students and community to work together and to promote student achievement and well-being.
I am an avid supporter of effective and innovative professional development that encourages teachers and principals to be reflective. I am a tech savvy guy who loves to learn new skills and technologies and share it with the teachers and students. I always stay in touch with the latest trends in the education and IT industry and how to utilize IT & ITES to improve upon the teaching-learning experience for each student.
The ability to be innovative and creative is important to me. I enjoy being challenged and inspired by the people around me and aim to enthuse, challenge staff and students to be creative, imaginative and innovative in their learning and applying the skills in their day to day tasks. I believe that having dedicated, well qualified, inspirational and passionate teachers is essential to a school's success.
I enjoy celebrating successes and acknowledge hard work of staff, students and community and believe this is fundamental to a happy school environment. All staff, students and community should feel valued and appreciated at school. Community engagement and involvement in the school is important to me as Principal. I regularly consult my community as part of school self review and encourage community engagement in the curriculum and learning programmes.
